The Atlantic Salt® combines the best qualities of a traditional mariner’s knife, Spyderco’s iconic CLIPIT® format, and state-of-the-art ultra-corrosion-resistant materials. The blunt tip of its sheepfoot blade prevents accidental punctures and provides an extra measure of safety in many work environments. Crafted from H-2 steel—Spyderco’s most corrosion-resistant alloy—the stout, hollow-ground blade boasts a fully serrated SpyderEdge™ cutting edge that powers through rope, seat belts, webbing, and other fibrous materials. Its fully accessible Trademark Round Hole™ ensures swift, positive one-handed opening with either hand and a textured index-finger choil allows a forward-positioned grip for enhanced control during detailed cutting tasks. The Atlantic Salt’s one-piece handle is molded from tough fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) and includes non-slip Volcano Grip™ texture pattern for a secure grip, even with wet hands. Available in both black and high-visibility yellow, the handle also features a sturdy back lock mechanism, an integral shackle key/drying vent, and a reversible pocket clip that provides a choice of left or right-side, tip-up carry. Together, these features make this fully ambidextrous knife the perfect cutting tool for sailors, rescue workers, and first responders.
