Undeniably one of Spyderco’s most popular and in-demand designs, the Para Military® 2 distills the world-class performance of our legendary Military™ Model into a more compact, pocket-friendly package. Not content with that feat, it then added the extreme strength, reliability, and ease of use of our Compression Lock® mechanism and the versatility of a four-position pocket clip. Most versions of this best-selling model feature a full-flat-ground blade crafted from CPM® S45VN® stainless steel. The blade includes a textured index-finger choil and thumb ramp that provide a solid purchase for a forward-positioned grip, offering enhanced control during precise cutting tasks. Its signature Trademark Round Hole™ proudly brands it as a member of the Spyderco family and is fully accessible to allow quick, positive, one-handed opening with either hand. To keep the Para Military 2 slim and pocket friendly, it features a lightweight, open-backed construction style and its skeletonized stainless steel liners are nested into machined recesses in the peel-ply-textured G-10 scales. This provides excellent structural support for the knife’s Compression Lock® mechanism, which locks the blade securely open during use while allowing it to be closed easily and safely with only one hand. A four-position hourglass clip and an oversized lined lanyard hole complete the design, offering ambidextrous tip-up or tip-down carry and allowing the easy attachment of fobs and lanyards.

The Para Military 2 with CPM S45VN blade steel is available in several different variations.  

The basic model features black G-10 scales, a satin-finished blade, brightly finished handle hardware, and a choice of PlainEdge™ or SpyderEdge™ formats. With a satin-finished PlainEdge blade, it is also available with digital camouflage peel-ply-texture G-10 handle scales. For those who prefer the look of a black blade, we offer the Para Military 2 in an all-black theme with a PlainEdge blade, a non-reflective Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) blade coating, and matching black-coated liners, clip, and handle hardware. For the best of both worlds, there is also a version of the Para Military 2 that combines a black DLC-coated PlainEdge blade, digital camouflage G-10 scales, and black-coated liners, clip, and hardware.
