The Crusader Arms Backland Hunter Rifle takes the ergonomics and versatility and reliability of the traditional shotgun platform and injects it with a modern twist of a modern hunting ranch style semi-automatic rifle.

The lineage of this rifle comes directly from the existing non-restricted shotguns on the market like the Benelli M4 and operates with the same style Bolt Carrier and strut that retreats into a Benelli spring loaded buffer tube to absorb and reset the bolt carrier’s position. The Benelli M4 style operating system was then chambered in .223 wyld (also accepting 5.56 rounds) and outfitted with a gas impingement system in place of a piston in order to save weight while trekking and hunting in the field. 

The Backland also uses the Benelli M4 trigger and stock. This ranch style hunting rifle is great for sport, target and hunting applications. For supreme accuracy and dependability, the Optic Ready full length top rail allows flexibility when mounting optics. The 2-piece Novel receiver is not compatible with any other rifle platforms on the market and accepts ONLY proprietary 5 round max capacity Crusader Arms Magazines, which (6) mags are included in this package. This is a versatile rifle that is designed for hunting with the reliability and function that everyone has known a loved about the Benelli M4 operation.
